It's a freaking gold mine.

Speaking of these shows, anyone catch the Gene Simmons one? I like this guy --didn't think I would, but it ended up entertaining for an evening.

(watched a few of them, saved up on the PVR)

It couldn't happen to a nicer bimbo!

I heard on the news that the judge is going to make sure she spends the whole 45 days in jail!

I'm with Edselehr on this one.... she'll somehow roll this into a TV show and laugh all the way to the bank.

Besides (as they say) "there ain't no bad publicity".

Can you believe how seemingly normal and grounded Simmons kid's are. Funny show....loved it before I dropped the Dish!

Wouldn't Hilton staying at the Hilton be free, as in no charge?

What I can't figure out is why someone that rich wouldn't have a 24-hour driver...

Here is what I would do if I were the judge. Sentence Paris Hilton to 45 days holed up in the worst Hilton hotel room you can find with no working telephone and the television stuck on one annoying channel with no room service and an empty mini bar, oh and no room cleaning for the entire 45 days. You wanna be an Heiress to the Hilton fortune BIATCH here you go now you can endorse your own company.

This is a good example for jailing the parents for raising a real jerk of a daughter.

Oh no! This is a disaster! Look how jail time energized Martha Stewart's career!

But then again, maybe community service is the way to go. Picking up trash along I-5 in an orange jumpsuit makes for a better photo op than laundry duty in the slammer.

I say since her original offence was DWI or DUI, send here out with the paramedics to some of the nastiest drunk driving crashes and let her put the victims in the body bags.

I would however at least let here wear latex gloves so as not to get skin and blood under her nails!

If you've watched her TV series, Paris would never pick up body bags. She'd say something like "No Way, That's GROSS!" She'd get Nicole Richie to do it. Nicole always did the gross stuff with Paris running away screaming.

Craig, I've never watched her show (and never will), but it doesn't surprise me that's how she'd act!

E! channel runs old episodes at times at 2 or 3am in the morning. One night while doing my 25 minute tread mill walk, there wasn't much on that interested me, so I gave Paris & Nicole a try. Watched two back to back episodes and got hooked. What a bunch of SPOILED BRATS!

One night E! played the very first episode. After Paris & Nicole got in trouble (as they always do), they were paid for their days work with "Paychecks" from that days employer. They both look at what they're handed and say "What do we do with these?" Employer says "They're paychecks for the money you earned. You take the checks to the bank." Paris & Nicole say "Oh". They didn't know what they were!!!

For the sake of reality, let us contrast two women in custody. Samar Saed Abdullah is suffering the fate of many women who have not tasted a bit of freedom in the new Iraq. She will likely be hung for a crime she did not commit. Since it is a measly 45 days, Paris Hilton should get in the cell, learn to count and count her blessings.

"I don't think the Founding Fathers had Paris Hilton's driving conviction in mind when they enacted the cruel and unusual punishment provision of the Constitution," said Loyola Law School professor Laurie Levenson.

"Amnesty International has appealed Iraqi authorities on behalf of Abdullah and the other three women on Iraq's death row. Another group inside Iraq, the Organization of Women's Freedom in Iraq, is also seeking to save them.

The group's head, Dalal Rubaie, says they have successfully appealed cases of two women, including one on death row who, she says, confessed after extensive torture.

"She had her fingernails pulled; she was hung from the ceiling; they took pictures of her naked while she was hanging; they cuffed her to a bed and raped her," Rubaie says."

"The judge, based on the range of sentences, gave her a perfectly fair and appropriate sentence," said Robert Pugsley, a professor of law at Southwestern Law School. "These grandiose measures won't be successful. It seems to be more an effort to continue to keep her name in the news."

http://www.latimes.com/news/printedition/california/

"She was tried and convicted in a single day, August 15, 2005.

"She didn't confess," her mother, Hana'a Abdul Hakim, told CNN. "It was from the beating they gave her. She was bleeding. She finally said write what you want, just stop."

Under Iraqi law, her claim to confessing under torture should have been investigated, but it wasn't. CNN's repeated queries to the Higher Judicial Council and the Ministry of Justice went unanswered.

"The judiciary is no longer involved, and nothing can be done unless new evidence comes to light, which is unlikely," her appeals lawyer, Ali Azzawi, said."

If we are fighting this war for only the rights of Paris Hilton, I think we ought to simply send her instead.
