That said, dude, let's be realistic. They're GONE. Bennett didn't buy the club to keep them in Seattle, when he has a brand new spiffy arena in Oklahoma City now needing a tenant since the Hornets are back in New Orleans. A market down there that proved to WANT a franchise, and will support it.

The Sonics have next to no support in Seattle with their fair-weathered fans (and I say this AS a Seattle sports fan, so don't flame me as a hater). They play in the worst arena in the league, with zero revenue from luxury suites, concessions or parking for ownership (the city gets it ALL), a public that refuses to build a new stadium when this current heap is only 11 years old ... the writing is on the wall. They are GONE after this next year. Book it.

It'll be a sad sad day indeed.

I ain't a huge sports fan but I do tend to have brand loyalty! What I mean is I live in "Warshingtun" so go Sonics,Seahawks,Mariners, Dawgz, and Cougs! That's about as far as I go with sports! Recently went to a Beavers came at PGE park. It was "Bark at the Park" and an outing for our Guide Dog Club. It was sad to see the amount of un-filled seats that were available and the large amount of seats that are even blocked off from use. I can see why attendance is poor...ever try to find parking down there....it suck's with a capital SUCKS! We did not leave early enough as our original plan was to hit a park and ride and take Max there. Maybe someone should build a ballpark up by the ampitheatre and get a Major League team....that would be cool!
