It's great.

If I lived in the path of the tram and had had it jammed down my throat like the people there did, the only thing I'd be upset about is that he beat me to it!!

Of course, local buzzkill authorities are on their way to his house since it violates the sign ordinance...if they "make" him remove it, maybe he should consider writing the same thing in differnet color roofing materials, I'll chip in.

Missing, there is a house on SW Kelly right under the tram that has a big sign over the porch that says "rent this space", I have no idea if it's the same house. Our tribal office is right across the street under the tram too, and has a huge flat roof. I keep suggesting that we go up there and make good use of the space with something clever...

I am totally up for the different colored materials. It just fits PDX perfectly. Maybe the guy will start a fuck the tram fund!

Hilarious.

I can't wait until this summer and when people in the neighborhood start nude sunbathing in their backyards. I can just see it now when the tram passes over some dude and he uses sign language to tell the people on the tram they are #3!

Here is someone who is totally pissed at his neighbor. I wonder if this is legal?

Out in Colorado, along some long desolated roads, there are some billboards making some very unkind statements to the "Keep America Beautiful" campaign, that restricted billboards along highways. At the time, I looked into it, and the courtsw had tuled, if its your property, and your making a political statement, it was protected speech.

Too bad this guy doesnt have the money to take this case through the courts.

In the past, the Oregon supreme court has struck down nearly all laws prohibiting free speech.

Heck, even nude dancing is considered free speech.

That's all good but for some people Nude Dancing would not be considered as "Free Speech" but as "Vulgar Profanity"! HA

To me Lady Godevia riding nude, to make a point would be free speech. Dancing naked to make money isnt.

PETA folks going naked to make a point would be free speech.

I think that the sign did the job. It will be legendary -- even if he never wins the battle.

Nude dancing is free speech. Burlesque style is essentially respectful, pretty traditional and can be doggone sexy. Offering a fifty dollar handy or putting your hoo-hoo in a customers face an sucking air in an out of it like an asthmatic camel is noisy, but to me, not free speech. It is only meant to provoke an already frustrated client. I am not a prude, but if it is just a noisy stockyard, well, why be there?

I think that the Tram is not the same as a person. F*ck You Kenny Chesney is a great sign, still, I could see an issue with it, but the Tram? C'mon, this is a huge white elephant that will collapse like Tinkertoys in an earthquake -- leaving the doctors a long hike from their devastated hospital. At least they will be stranded close enough to downtown to offer aid and assistance to some of the very folks who paid for their folly.

on the contrary, I believe the tram will be the last thing standing after a major earthquake -- most of the cost "overruns" went into the towers, in particular, the uppertower which was redesigned in "mid construction" to be a stand alone structure instead of an attachment to an existing building. Having seen all the concrete that went deep into the ground, I'd bet my money on the Fremont Bridge falling down first.

(BTW, "Insiders" say the Fremont Bridge is the least likely of all the PDX bridges to fall in an earthquake -- the Marquam Bridge is the most likely.)
