Dan, can you ban all the djfresh posts please

I certainly can't speak for Dan, but the purpose of sites like this is not to ban anyone's posts, but to encourage free speech. Unless the post is obviously libelous, the post will remain.
(Of course, the moderator has the right to remove posts who he deems to be obscene, or using language that is not appropriate, and has in the past.)

This is the foundation of our form of communication and Dan understands this. This forum is "not a pile of crap" for exactly this reason.

I for one, would be very disappointed if djfrreshs' posts were removed, solely for the reasons stated in the post above mine. This forum doesn't appear to be a dictatorship, free speech is paramount to any democratic society, not to be ratified by a few, but governed by the many. It would be a shame if posts like djfrreshs' were taken down, unless they are proved to fraudulent, which doesn't seem to be the case, so far...

While I wouldn't want to see him or his posts banned, I just hope against hope that can read and understand the responses to his posts. I get the feeling he just posts and then never understands anything posted after his post. I picture him walking into a conversation between a few people in a bar or something, asking an out of the blue question ( and it's always the same one ) and then never sticking around to talk. He wanders away for a while. Then he comes back - forgetting that he asked the question and asking it again to the same people - then he meanders over to the set of pool cues for a while. Then he comes back and says " Hey, you're Tony Randall! " and then goes and gets a Coke from the bar..." Anyone here from Portland? "...then back to the pool cues.

He seems like an ok cat to me. Although I woldn't want to be the one who has to read it all back to him.

Oh well. I'll live.

How would you respond if Dan decided your comment about this forum being "a pile of crap" was not suitable for the site? If I was going to make your case, I certainly wouln't use immature language to try to convince others that Djfresh's comments are not worthy of this site.

I think the challenge is to see who will be the first to engage in a two-way exchange with djfresh.

Lots of people here supposed to be good at making connections. Let's get it done with fresh!

I come to PDX Radio for both imput and output (heavy on the output). I also realize that this is a public site and there's a good chance that others will have different opinions then mine. So what? As for the need for mayo on my turkey sandwich...I'm leaning toward a lite sampling.

And yes, former employers try to use comments posted on these boards. Most of it is legal strong arming though. Saying Frank Farquar is a lousy programmer and his belief in specific practices pertaining to programming is hardly slanderous.
