Entercom stopped doing the KISN the summer goodbye concerts and the KGON concerts back in 2002 I believe. I was fortunate enough to be in one of the bands that opened for Tommy James and Johnny Rivers at the last KISN concert. That same year KGON's concert featured Foghat and I think the Doobie Brothers. That was it. Nothing since then.

Semoochie, yeah I think that was up in Washington and wasn't really a KISN/ENTERCOM thing. I think it was just sponsored by them or something. I looked into it at the time. It's too bad. Those concerts were really great. Does Z100 still do the Last Chance Summer Dance thing??

It seems like Z100 took it away. I don't know if they brought it back or not.

The Kisn-FM concert was at "The Amphitheater at Clark County". It was not the best. For most of our listeners it was a little too far to drive, so the crowd was smaller. What really ended it for 'us' was when 'they' told us during the concert, we couldn't go on stage and say hi to our listeners and talk about Kisn in between the acts, as we always did at "Water Front Park". We Were Pissed!

10 miles is to far? It's just a hop over the bridge! Dang it'd take you longer in the drive-thru at Taco Bell to get three times fried beans!

I saw Loverboy at Esther Short Park last summer. They sounded good, but watching a grey-haired, fat Mike Reno sing was difficult. It's tough watching the 70/80's rockers as they grow old. Of course I still look as good as ever.

Hey! Your big perm was blocking my view, your BTO neon tank top was practically blinding me, and those darn acid-washed parachute pants were making too much noise in the breeze. Other than that, you looked smokin' hot! ;=)

Funny isn't it. I remember in the 70's the Rolling Stones were referred to as "Dinosaurs"!! Now bands like Pearl Jam and U2 are heading into their 50's. BUT look at who still sells out concerts consistantly, Stones, McCartney, U2, Bowie, Rod Stewart, Elton John, etc....and most of them are heading into their mid 60's or beyond!! Yikes! Well, it's true what they said back in the late 50's as cliche as it sounds....rock and roll will never die...(just the radio stations that play it)

Speaking of Elton John, I saw a bit of his 60th b-day party/concert on TV last night. He needs to start mixing a salad into his 12-course dinners. He's getting as fat as Rosie O'Doughnut.
