Q: What's Irish and stays out all night? A: Paddy O'Furniture Anybody doing anything fun tonight? I'm going to Biddy McGraw's on NE 60th & Glisan...if you're bored, come join me, Just yell "Merkin!" at a chubby gal near the bar area between songs or bands, I'll be wearing levi's, a green shirt, and green necklaces, just like everyone else. It's a great place, my two friends I'm meeting shortly have been there all afternoon!

"Anybody doing anything fun tonight?" Parents are away at a convention, so I have the house to myself. As I tend to be introverted somewhat and don't seem to have much of a social life (I usually fly solo!!) looks like another late night of "Star Wars" and "Koyaanisqatsi" on the Laserdisc, a $15 thin-crust-extra-cheese-light-sauce from Smokey's (with a gallon of Dr. Pepper) after a long day spent cruising the Coove on the Mongoose. Hey, if this ain't keeping it real I don't know what is!! And Merkin, re: the Mongoose Cruise~ I was wearing Levi's, a green Fox helmet and green Chuck Taylor's just like everyone else. ;o) (Just for the record, the BMX rider writing this post *is* one-quarter Irish............)

Moto, you would have liked Biddy's, lots of Paddy O'Bras tonight, but always a nice group there, all ages and types. But "Koyaanisqatsi" is a great flick...and pizza sounds really good right now... Mr. M and Baby M both "sawing logs", as usual, so nice to come home to...so much for my "wild" 4 hours out. Ahhh. Hopefully I won't need the pedia-lite in the AM, like I did after starting/ going out with CJ and Missing.

(grins --and wishes he had more time that evening! It was totally fun. You brought great, interesting body guards Mrs. M!) ...Koyaanisqatsi! My daughters show dance team did a routine based on that, and the music of Phillip Glass. (I think I've got the music right...) Excellent! Everybody had to ask, "WTF is Koyaanisqatsi?" Hey Dark! Lose the kids man! Save your pennies, get a hotel room --even if it's just down the street. Work your friends and relatives for places to stash the kids for a coupla days, then pretend you don't have them and feed your soul for a weekend! You won't regret it. My wife is Irish! She is home from the hospital now, so we had a lot of fun just being home, watching movies, eating stuff, talking, etc... Amazing how some tough times can reset expectations! Getting a little "gorked" doesn't hurt either! Maybe Rush was onto something! Then again, maybe not. It's not an everyday thing for sure...
