Infamous Oregon ice skater Tonya Harding is back in the news.

Clark County sheriff's deputies responded to two calls early Sunday morning involving Harding.

According to the sheriff’s office, deputies received a call from Harding at Yacolt Towing around 5 a.m., reporting that four men and a woman tried to break into her car and steal it. Harding also said people were stashing rifles on the side of her property, police said.

The deputy said he was unable to find evidence and wrote that Harding's account was "very implausible." He described Harding as "very agitated" and frustrated that others couldn’t see the people she could see.

Harding told police she was on "new medication" and was experiencing an adverse reaction.

Later that same morning, police received another call regarding Harding, this time from a friend who told authorities the skater was "seeing animals."

The friend told police that she didn’t think Harding was violent but that she was “scaring her kids” and just wanted her out of the home.

The deputy took Harding back to her trailer on Northeast Sunset Falls Road and checked her home to "put her at ease."

"yep, you read it right, the cops took Tonya back to her trailer!"

Would you expect anything else!!!

Wow, I go wheeling out in that area. I had no idea that I was that close to a "famous" person!

I guess I'll have to find a new place to go wheeling!

"Would you expect anything else!!!"

I was expecting that she moved up to "manufactured home" or at least a "mobile home" by now.

SkyBill, if you wear a helmet you shouldn't have problems with flying hubcaps . . . speaking of which, if you see one for a late model Jetta, please grab it for me! :-)

Do you know what I just had to laugh at last night?

On channel 6 they reported this.....I heard it on the 6:00 broadcast last night on the way home from work. The guy reporting it (one of the field reporters, I am not saying which one but I sure as hell hope he's reading this cause now he's lost credibility in my eyes!!) stated something along the lines of "pretty much any time Tonya Harding calls 911 it's newsworthy."

Huhhh......whuuuaaaaahhhhhhhhh??!!

Since when was that considered newsworthy? If that's the case every time I call 911 (only had to do it once that I can remember, when I got rear-ended on Mill Plain a coupla years ago.......damn kids with their text-message devices.........) I should be on the news! Tonya's no higher on the social ladder than any other working-classer now, since "the incident".....I'd say she's maybe a few rungs lower. Yeah, her 15 minutes of fame were had, yeah, she F'd her career and most likely her life up, that was almost fifteen years ago, so what, GET OVER IT MEDIA PEOPLE.

Darktemper, re: the Crowbar~
That's why I have knee pads with shin-guards! (Fox "Raptor"--savd my ass lots of times........)

Oh, and just make sure your helmet's one of the *full-face* designs, like a motocross helmet.......wear goggles, especially if Tonya's in the area! (Words of advice from a fellow MXer!!)
