Couple Accused of Seeking Sex With Girl

PORTLAND, Ore. - A Portland couple arranged to trade marijuana for the chance to have sex with a 5-year-old girl, the authorities said Tuesday.

Federal agents arrested Christopher Dudley, 27, and Rhea Hamm, 22, in Woodland, Wash., where they were to meet the girl - a fictitious character created by an agent who met Dudley in an Internet chat room.

Yes you are missing something. The pot was for the father to smoke. The father wanted pot, so he said in exchange for pot, the couple could have sex with his 5 year old daughter.

I would end up in the can quickly for what I would do to those clowns...

Remember back in the mid 90's when Jeffrey Dahmer was beatin to death by a fellow inmate, while serving life in prison? If I remember correctly an inmate beat him to death with just a broom. Sickos like that don't stand a chance in prison.

Actually they are not from Woodland. According to the article, that is just where they were meeting.

When the cops arrested them they should have put the handcuffs on real loose. Then when they fell off, a quick double tap to each of their heads. Hey, they were trying to escape.

It would save a lot of court and jail costs too!

This is somewhat reminiscent of a story that 20/20 ran a few weeks ago about a pedophilic/polygamist religious cult, which--if I remember correctly--called itself "the family." I was reminded of this when Dudley said that he wanted his daughter to grow up in "the lifestyle."

The online chat excerpt in the KGW story seemed to imply that the agent had led Dudley to think that he had already been performing pedophilia on his fictional five year old daughter. I say this because Dudley asks the agent if he'd be willing to "share" his daughter. Would it be unreasonable for a pedophile to ask just for a bag of pot in exchange for letting somebody else molest his child? If you look at some of the propaganda from NAMBLA, a lot of these people don't think that they are doing anything wrong or harmful.

Just shoot those two scumsuckers in the head! They are a waste of human flesh.

What is scary is that those two people have been on this planet for a combined 50 years before they were caught being creeps. Do parents even talk to their children anymore? These two were molested, that is why they are molesters. This case screams for some back-tracking and investigation.

I am also curious if there is a religious dimension. Unfortunately, that is often where these behaviors take root and flower utterly unnoticed for decades. I am glad these two were caught relatively early in life. The fact that they are no longer loose is comforting in a small way.

I hope folks learn to ask weird questions of kids who exhibit any behavior changes after time alone with an adult. When I was growing up, a few simple, but frank questions would have saved quite a few of my peers from a great deal of heartache and madness. It also may have saved the life of a first grade classmate.
