Just got back from the "300". Loved it. Keep in mind that this is a Movie based on a Graphic Novel from Frank Miller as was Sin City and in that tradition the cinemaphotography was equally as stunning and of course graphic. If you liked Sin City then you will like this movie. It may also be fair to say if you liked Gladiator you may also like it as well. It is "R" rated for the graphic violence and a couple of scene's of female above the waist nudity.

4 stars out of 5

I saw the Ralph Nader documentary "An Unreasonable Man" the other night. I'm not exactly a fan of Nader after the 2000 election, but I loved the movie. He did a lot of good in his early days. Seat belts. Air bags. Just challenging GM and getting the CEO of General Motors to apologize in front of congress(!) for having Nader harassed by investigators and even prostitutes. Then the film follows Nader past the peak of his influence and helps us understand why Nader eventually ran for president after earlier claiming never to want to run.

Nader is a complicated, fascinating guy, and a lot of his friends and former friends have lots to say about him. If you have any interest in Nader at all, I highly recommend this film. Playing this week at the Hollywood Theatre.

I just got done watching Black Mama, White Mama* (1972) with Pam Grier as a prison escapee on the run chained to another woman, very groovy.
