I put this together in hopes that some lurker might pick up on it and take it to heart and play them on the air! Sammy's solo works (of which there are many) are truly great. It is a shame most stations only play a few select hits from Standing Hampton, Three Lock Box, and VOA (about 5 in total) and for sure all of the Sammy Halen stuff as well. Here is a list of my favorites so take them as you will. But before you scoff at them listen to them! REDHEADS RULE! In Album Order: Album: Red Songs: Red Album: Standing Hampton Songs: I’ll Fall in Love Again There’s Only One Way to Rock Heavy Metal Album: Three Lock Box Songs: Three Lock Box Remember the Heroes Your Love is Driving Me Crazy Never Give Up Album: HSAS Through the Fire Songs: Missing You Whiter Shade of Pale Album: VOA Songs: I Can’t Drive 55 Two Sides of Love Album: I Never Said Goodbye Songs: Hands and Knees Give to Live Eagles Fly Album: Marching to Mars Songs: Who Has the Right Kama Both Sides Now Marching to Mars Album: Red Voodoo Songs: Lay Your Hand On me Returning Of the Wish Album: TEN13 (Sammy’s B-Day) Songs: Let Sally Drive Deeper Kind of Love Ten 13 Album: Livin’ It Up Songs: Sam I Am Living on a Coastline I Love This Bar Sailin’ Someday Songs from Movies worth Mention: Fast Times at Ridgemont High (Fast Times at Ridgemont High) The Girl Gets Around (Footloose) Winner Takes it All (Over the Top) I have all of these in a playlist on my ZUNE that I copied from my CD’s. I can listen to these over and over and never tire of them! Sure most of these are not top 40 but all are great tunes and if they did catch some airtime I don't think anyone would complain! C'mon guys....get of the top 40 parade and start playing the great "B" side stuff and non-top 40 "A" side stuff! Change it up a little bit!

His montrose stuff is great but I grew up on his solo music...my teens years started off with Standing Hampton. While I do love the Montrose stuff I was only listing his solo works! You will also notice no Sammy Halen in the list either!

Nothing.....nothing at all. This was just on his solo stuff. Radio has all but forgot about this stuff. Here's a tip for some station...Sammy Turns 60 this TEN 13! Do a Hagar Special......you'd get good ratings and that would be for sure!

Maybe Viagra can sponser his world Tour. Don't most men his age need the little blue pill? My father sure did! He was known to have a "Limp Bizkit" at about age 40.
