Please do not dismiss it as some kind of self-help book. I'm telling you that it's not. I've read it twice and and listening to it in audiobook version for the third time.

Yeah, I've read "Blink" twice - a fun, easy read. I have a copy in my trunk (actually, a friend just returned the copy I had loaned her). "The Tipping Point" (an exploration of how epidemics and trends get started) is also a great read by the same author though many prefer "Blink." I'm sure I mentioned this just recently in another thread, but I recently enjoyed "The Omnivore's Dilemma" by Michael Pollan. It's about the American food system, which is a hell of a lot more interesting than you might think (who knew corn was in freaking EVERYTHING we eat and what an amazing plant corn itself is?). The author looks at food very objectively. He explores the industrial food system, then the organic foods sector (an $11Billion market now - wow!), then spends a week on a sustainable farm (to me, this was the best part of the book; this farm was AMAZING!). Finally he hunts and gathers his own meal, himself, just to know what it's like. Andrew

I've already downloaded " Tipping Point " and expect to start and finish it this weekend. The reviews make it sound even better than " Blink." Although I'm currently more interested in the topics discussed " Blink " - so I made the choice to read that one first. But good to hear another around here has read it.
