I was under the impression that 1010 was All Sports albeit in spanish. They seem to be airing music again.

Yes! KSZN 1010 is now simulcasting KMUZ 1230. This is from an ad from earlier this month:

The last time I listened, which was some 2 weeks ago, the formats on 1010 and 1230 appeared to have been transposed. ESPN Deportes was on 1230 and oldies "La Bonita" was on 1010.

SIMULCASTING SUCKS!!!!! Split the audience, split the revenue, Sell both as one, add the numbers together and move up in the ratings!
How about do one of them right and, either sell the other, or turn it off!
Yes I do know why they do it, in those situations, but it still sucks! Even worse when a company owns 4 or 5 viable signals, and simulcasts them all.

They just flip flop formats 1230 is ESPN in Spanish and 1010 is La Bonita. That being said locally KFXX is lacking ALOT!

Can 1010 KZNY apply for a night time operation and change their class status from AM Class-D to AM Class-B operating at 500 watts at night?

They once had a construction permit. I believe it was for 8kw daytime. I'm thinking 500 watts at night but it may have been more.

I was hearing oldies on 1010 last night when I was driving through West Linn.
Anyone know what station I was hearing? I didn't stick around long enough to hear an ID.

The only station that booms in at night on 1010 is CBR Calgary. Tonight they're playing Blues from CBC Radio.
