Yep, the first thing even resembling winter weather will hit D.C. this season. In mid-February no less. I guess the cherry blossoms that were blooming in January may have to wait a little longer, maybe late February!

As Herb sould say;

" Look." - ooooh yeah - that DOES make me feel as though I am laying down the law!

Anyway, I hope global warming ISN'T happening due to humans. There are many things that point to that fact that it is - but they could all be just part of the normal cycle. Who doesn't hope that that is the case?

But, you know, " LOOK ", in case it is human caused, there is nothing wrong with seeing if we can make a difference. It's not some affront to someone's manhood. It can only benefit on all sorts of levels. So if it's a matter of feeling uncomfortable with accepting an undue amount of blame or something, then get over it. If anyone is to blame, it's an equal amount ( including me ) that everyone shares. Heck, I'll even take ALL the blame if it's that important to someone.

I happen feel like this is a chance for someone to take some responsibility for TRYING to help.

I swear, in the culture of " Well, if you don't like how it's being handled, let's hear YOUR plan to fix a problem " we are providing ways to do exactly that. I don't get why there is resistance ( other than possibly reducing profits - and there are other ways to make a profit in trying to fix this problem - EVEN IF THERE IS NO PROBLEM, THERE ARE PROFITS TO BE MADE! ) to cleaning things up.

I get the sense that people who so adamantly deny human caused global warming are just delaying the inevitable anyway. Why prolong the suffering? At some point, don't you think we will need to clean things up? I do. Why not let us lead the way for that?

Well maybe we ought to look to New Zealand for getting this whole thing kick started:

They have much less to deal with. But they will break new ground, I'm betting. And maybe they'll work through issues that can be applied here as well.

Good on them for trying.
