Okay....after the fourth night running maybe time for a thread to find new ways to battle the sleep thief! What ways do you (legal ways) battle Insomnia? Drug's not an option and alcohol has bad side effects if ya know what I mean! |

Yes! "Calms" works well. Hyland's also makes "Nerve Tonic" which also works if you're under a lot of pressure. Another non-Rx is "Melatonin". I buy the Schiff brand and it also works well. |

I tried with the ZUNE and ear buds last night and play Pink Floyd pulse concert at very low volume and that took the edge of enough to finally get two hours of sleep from 6:00 to 8:00am. |

I had a friend once who said he had a sure fire cure for his wifes insomnia. Anytime she had a bout of insomnia all he had to do was mention "Sex" and she went out like a light! LOL |

A lot of beer will make you sleep but the other problem with a lot of beer is that darn bed just keeps going round and round and round! |

Hah Skybill, I always enjoyed the spins. I would pick my leg up and drop it and repeat just to make it start and stop and start again. I'd get my friends puking when they would do the same thing ... |

My wife is like a Cement brick in bed, I have no other choice than to turn to internet Porn. We have only been married for two years, after the first year the sex ended cold turkey! If I knew that was going to happen, I never would have gotten married in the first place!!!! |

I used to have a hard time get to sleep, I take a 3mg tablet about 20 minutes before I want to fall asleep. It seems to work great for me. You can purchase 300 tablets at Costco for slightly less that $6. |

Im lactose intolerant, I drank a warm glass of warm milk the other night and almost blew my girlfriend out of the bed, and let me just say they were the loudest Riper snorters i have ever heard. My girl goes to bed with a gas mask every time I have milk products before bed time. Very smart woman! |

Hey Merkin, and people wonder why over half of all marriages end up in divorce. I think lack of sex makes up at least 75% of them. |

I second the recomendations of Melatonin (works wonderfully as it doesn't make you feel drowsy at all but as soon as your head hits the pillow 80% of the time you are out like lights) |
