Note to Jeff Thomas: It's James and Bobby Purify, not "Per Fee".

It's got nothing to do with glasses. He just doesn't know the music very well. How old is Jeff Thomas? 35? 36? He grew up on Winger, Motley Crue and Warrant. There was a reason he was rellieved of his duties at the Mix. It had to do with lack of focus and the inability to be creative. If CBS and Dennis were smart they would find a jock who was a little more in tune with K-Hits demographic.

I have a Jeff Thomas PAMS jingle from KPAM, circa 1972. That would have made him about 1 year old? ...or maybe there was another Jeff Thomas?

Jim Donovan used to be "Jeff Thomas" in Portland in the early '70s. That's why I couldn't used the name when I was hired by KQIV in 1972. Previously, I'd been Jeff Thomas at various stations in Salem and Reno. Thus, "Jeff Clarke" was born, Clarke being a derivation or simplification of my real last name. Both, obviously, are bogus, fake radio names, and probably pretty common. "Never trust anyone with a first name for a last name."

Funny Twally....Wallace...Jesus...waiting for any kind of post on here about me to jump on board. That's fine...I guess I was talented enough to get the job you put a whole 2 years into radio for...then you didn't even look for another gig...like we need another pizza joint in this town...stupid ass. Thanks for the heads up on Purify Semoochie. I probably said it fast. I remember playing that cut at KISN when I was a bit younger...yeah, I know...I worked at KISN too. Seems like ages ago. That's when I was still cutting my teeth in the business. I think I was in my 3rd or 4th year on the air back then...looking back at 15 years of broadcasting...god...it's gone by way too fast. I guess there are some things I still need to remember..like...there are bitter dudes in this business...who get fired and like to have something to say...even to a message board..because a mic isn't an option anymore. Feelthelove....thanks bro...I'm just doing the deal you know...employed....

Ya know Jeffro, I'm not sure which is worse.. losing a radio job and starting your own business, or losing a top 25 daytime radio shift to become a night-time liner-jock at a goin nowhere station simply because one PD got bored with you and another PD did you a favor? I am a former man of radio, so I, according to you, am not allowed to have an opinion. But if you think talent got you the job you got, I can introduce you to the folks at the radio program out in Gresham... each of those aspiring "talents'" could land a night shift at a liner-saturated station any day of the week. And they usually do considering its a shift that teeters on the end of the on-air pay scale. So come down off that pedestal until you get a radio gig that actually requires more talent than just being able to read, then shoot your mouth off. Until then, Twally seems to have a lot more goin for him than you do. Unless of course you return to the glamerous profession of selling cars, at which point you can talk all you want. Cause there isn't a more respected job in the world than a car salesman. You have the floor...

I actually laughed at that....funny stuff Bonger. I'm not on a pedistal at all..honestly. I'm one of the most humble people you will ever meet. Wallace and I have our differences because I told him the truth almost a year ago and he didn't like it. I don't know who you are or care for that matter. My new schedule affords me a ton of time with my kids and wife so I'm not complaining at all about my new hours. I was at the mix for nearly 5 years..in fact I had 12 weeks left of my contract to go when they switched formats...and I was making good money...so who do you get rid of when making a flip like that?? Right. As far as Dennis doing me a favor?? I've worked my ass off to keep my gig at this going somewhere radio station. I don't feel bad about the move what so ever. I do feel bad for the need of Wallace bashing every person he has ever worked for every time he gets the chance. I really enjoyed selling cars...in fact I made more money than most GSM's in the radio biz...alas I wanted to do the job that holds my passion...radio. Money isn't everything ya know. I'm sure most people in radio will agree with that statement... TwallyJR....glad to see you are still alive....married yet??

Jeff... For what it is worth I was a regular listener to MIX1075 and Rock Hits before my radio broke and now can no longer tune in that frequency anymore! I thought all of the Jock's there were great.....albeit somewhat limited by the playlist but I still enjoyed it right up until Bob Rivers sank it for good! I don't know the internals behind the flip but IHMO it was a bad mistake! Have A Good One and keep doing what you love! Life is to short to settle for anything less and kids just plain grow up to fast these days so good for you!

You're welcome, Jeff! At this point, that information is a bit obscure, to say the least and maybe a fly walked over the "i". I was just having a little fun and certainly didn't mean to create an incident. I'm almost sorry I started the thread. More fun: Twally Jr, you'll enjoy the fifth grade.

Jeffro Said "I guess I was talented enough to get the job you put a whole 2 years into radio for...then you didn't even look for another gig...like we need another pizza joint in this town...stupid ass." Hey Jeffro you seem to be pretty cocky for being such a mediocre air talent.

So, I was chatting with my wife about this thread and how rediculious it was to respond to negative comments....especially when I know the person/situation these slams come from. Why bother...why get involved. I don't know why..seriously. This dude is super pist off at me and I know why. Instead of playing the other card I jumped into the grade school B.S. Sarge-I hope I'm invited the one day you finally make it forever. Wallace- I hope you become the best you can be at whatever it is you choose. I thought you would have gone straight to a sports talk and dominated. You've got the biz on the sports..and I'm sure you would do well. I actually told Sarge that shortly after the well..whatever happened. To the rest...have fun...that's what radio is about.
