They say that, as if it's a bad thing. Not to this die-hard Nixon man.

The leftists in media can pile on all they want. One is known not only by his friends, but also his enemies. I consider it a badge of honour and will take it from the left with relish.

Herb, I hope you aren't crushed when Bush break's Nixon's record for lowest approval ratings. And he may wind up yet upstaging Nixon by becoming the second president to resign. That would probably make Nixon look less pathetic by comparison, which I guess would disappoint you.

Democrats love stats, they love talking about the death toll in Iraq, the tax cuts for the rich, and of course President Bush's approval rating.

At the end of the day though, thats all they have... talk.

You're right, Mc74 - the Democrats will be a PERMANENT minority if they don't stop...er, wait a moment...

Don't the Democrats have POWER now? Control of Congress? More than talk my friend. That's why Bush is flip-flopping so fast on issues like wiretapping that even John Kerry is getting dizzy. Bush can't afford to be strong on these positions anymore; he needs to backtrack to try to save what's left of his political hide.

For the first time in years, I'm going to WATCH the SOTU address. It will be a pleasure watching Nancy Pelosi sit behind Bush during the speech, while he whines like a little girl trying to make people forget about Iraq.

Mc74...On more than one occasion Herb and others were boastful in the fact the Dems would never get the House or Senate back. That the GOP was so strong that Dems would have a hard time even in a close election. We took it from Herb and others for more than 2 years.

Bush is like a little child who never learns that the stove is hot.

Now more and more Republicans are taking Bush to task on the war and you choose to make light of the death toll, the tax cuts.

The approval ratings I never take all the seriously but it is but one indicator that something is amiss.

And at the end of the day Bush has accomplished nothing...and that is all YOU have.

Good grief, that's funny!

Herb, I gotta hand it to you man! You get the maximum points for pure style! Let's don't talk about the other scores --it would ruin the mood for sure!

(wipes away tears from laughing so hard!)

Thanks, I needed that!

Since Bush admits to never reading newspapers, (as if he could even read, let alone comprehend them), do you think his toadies have dared to tell him the results of the latest polls? We all know he doesn't care.

That interview on "60 Minutes", without his handlers on camera or a script? Bad decision. (even if they were holding up cue cards or talking into his earpiece)

Nixon = pathetic? Andrew, That is the perfect word to descibe that crazy, addled, delusional, broken, sad old man getting in the helicopter.

The beauty of it is that we can express our disagreement, dislike and general dissent with any elected president.

So, Hilary is fair game, should she get elected.

Want to know who has done more to suppress this than anyone else in recent times.

(gasp!)

The Bush administration.

Hell, the guy won't even make a public appearance where he might be faced with dissenting Americans. Anybody that tries this gets jailed, tossed out, etc...

Seems to me, our President should have enough backbone to stand up to dissenting views and reason well enough to counter them.

GW has neither.

We're not calling her "Mrs. Clinton," we're calling her "Clinton 44."

For those who hate polls:

An AP-Ipsos poll taken after the outline of Bush's "new" plan in Iraq showed that 60 percent of white evangelical Christians and 56 of self-described conservatives opposed the increase in troops.
