Sunday morning and I just finished removing 6 inches of overnight snow from my driveway and sidewalks. Doesn't sound like a lot of clearing until you know I have a 6 car driveway and plenty of side walks.

Next, the snowplow will go past and throw 6" of snow that's blanketing the street right back into a pile on the end of the driveway.

Beautiful snow, however.

A 6-car driveway? Wow! Are you shoveling or blowing it?

And I hate when the plows do that!

Enjoy it while it's still all white and pretty...

(Don't forget to help any neighbors who can't physically do it themselves...)

Sorry but I have a 32 car driveway! I can get 32 cars from the road to my house on it. Or at least the last summer party we had at least 32 cars on it.
Just bought a new Troy-Built snow blower this winter so I can at least get out of the driveway when it does snow here.

>>>"A 6-car driveway? Wow! Are you shoveling or blowing it?"

Shoveling and blowing. There were three cars parked on the driveway, so I had to clean it off them, shovel around them, then blow the rest.

Not really that big a deal if one has the equipment, which we about have to here in the Midwest.

I can't imagine what life was like before snow blowers. Lot's of bad backs.

"...before snow blowers. Lot's of bad backs."

Lots of HEART ATTACKS, too!

My dad never put on chains or shoveled, he said "that's why I had you kids!". There's nothing worse than a "putting-on-tire-chains lesson" at 6AM in your jammies on a cold cement garage floor, although I suppose putting them on outside is worse.

I never, ever put chains on my car even once in the 10 years I lived in Park City, UT. I even made it over the "Closed" pass once to get to the airport to get to a Grateful Dead show. Ahh, Subarus!

When my sis lived in Salt Lake City, all the Mormons on their street were practically pooping themselves and having a party with their blowers on every big dump, they'd be all neighborly to each other and do everyone's driveway EXCEPT my sis's since she wasn't "in the club". She and her hubby shoveled the single mom's driveway next door as well as their own.

My sister and her hubby finally made a giant blinding martini glass light display like the one in the West Hills (w/olive & stir stick) that you can see for miles and put it up after Thanksgiving and lit it every night until after New Year's Eve. It was great!

Trix, you da man! How many cars does the beach house driveway hold on Labor Day weekend 2007?

Yes, I though sure Trixter would bounce back with the first post, a simple "4 inches".
