July, 1992. Borrowing my father-in-law's car while we're visiting them in Florida. My wife and I alone, out for the night, and we end up at parked at the beach. One thing leads to another. We're in the back seat, making the beast with two backs, when the radio plays "Baby's Got Back" by Sir Mix-A-Lot.
You know how a song you didn't used to care about reminds you vividly of some occasion, because you heard it at the right time? That's what Sir Mix-A-Lot means to me now. Automatically warms the cockles of my heart (or, in this case, warms the heart of my ... uhhh...)
Plus, my son was born in April of '93. You do the math.
