Very sad to report this. He worked as Allen Wolf on KINK, KGON & KSGO, plus contributed information to the KGON History. This from All Access: |

Wasn't he KINK's image voice for many years? |

Didn't he do afternoons in between Jeff Clark and Jeff Clark? |

Maybe some KINK and KGON folks could tell us more about him. Interesting that he had taken his current station over only 6 weeks ago....but had obviously made a huge impression in a short time. |

Yes, he did -- 1985 - 86 -- I returned early in '87. Allen was just great, voice-quality wise, and his talent/content was outstanding as well. What he had to say was interesting and uniquely amusing; he did some great bits. |

Allen did do some weekend work on KGON for a very short time in the mid-80's. Then he landed the PMD gig at KSGO which had just flipped from the old News Station KYXY (now KGDD). I got to know him briefly there, original is an interesting way to describe him Jeffrey... We both became fathers around the same time so we had lots to discuss. I liked him quite a bit. Sad news. Huge loss. |

Allen had those amazing huge radio pipes, sounded incredible on production, and like Jeffrey said, was uniquely amusing. I got to know him, as Dolby did, when he was at KGON and KSGO. He was warm and funny. |

Allan's real name was Juris H. Josts. He started in radio in 1965 at WLAV. A tribute blog has been set up for Allan by Dave Martin. There is also a picture in studio and lots of links including Allan's obit. |
