It wont be long until the price comes down, making internet radio a much more viable operation, I can even envision strictly internet
only radio stations.

capabiity of unlimited number of stations, and content.

Sounds like an interesting fledgling idea wiht a long way to go. The technology is kind of in process, as there are mobile telephones that can hop from the currently-used wireless cell systems to WiFi when it is available.

There are, of course, thousands of internet-only radio stations right now with a nearly endless variety of content. I can spend hours on end just investigating. However at the current rates it is incredibly expensive. Considering I pay abou $12/month for my first XM satellite unit, I couldn't possibly justify $11/day.

The question that comes to mind is.....will the content available through this technology be subject to FCC regs? They need to be on top of it, or the feds will attempt to regulate them.

I have a card I can put in my laptop, along with broadband service from Verizon, I can use the internet from anywhere, I can see the cost coming down, or being tied in with something like On Star giving internet use in autos fairly cheaply.

Oh....that's just what we need.....sorry officer I guess I did not see that the traffic had stopped as I was to busy surfing porn on the net and just ran into that car!!!!!! That will be more fatal than alcohol and cell phones combined!!! But you are right...pretty soon internet access will be an option....probably starting out with a vehicle like the Cadillac Escalade and the GMC Denali!

I think the term "getting caught with your pants down" really fits the situation. LOL!
Even worse, getting caught with your pants down, while having ACDC's "Big Balls" Destorting on your car speakers.
