KPAM's gain is certainly KEX's loss. The down side to this is that KPAM has lousy coverage at night outside of the Portland metro area. While OSU sports can be heard in Eugene (840AM), Corvallis/Albany (1240AM), Salem (1390 or 1430..I don't remember which), none of these stations has a large footprint at night. I could always count on KEX to come through when I was "between footprints." |

KYKN (1430 AM) in Salem broadcasts the Ducks. Oregon State doesn't have a station in Salem/Keizer, not since KYKN's owners sold KSLM to Entercom a few years ago. |
