KHITS is sponsering a Bob seger concert early next year, and to me it seems limke I am hearing more of his music on Khits.

It also appears to me other stations do it, like before the old KISN the summer goodby concerts, you would hear more of the scheduled artists music.

Is it just me, or it that really what happens?

Yes, it certainly does on most of the stations I listen to, and has since I first started listening to Top 40 Radio in early 1962.

The only recent exception was about a year ago when Mavis Staples did a concert tour. Stations would randomly cycle through their Oldies, occasionally playing a Staple Singers record, but NEVER mentioning her upcoming concert. Even the only station in town that occasionally played something off her then year-old album never mentioned it. I suspect that the Promotion just wasn't done properly for the concert. Wonderful lady. Sad situation.
