KXL is running some history lessons to mark 80th birthday this week. They seem to be running it at about 10 past the hour during morning news. Today we heard Craig Adams - Radio Historian commenting on early radio programming, but didn't seem to mention anything specific about KXL. Also a brief exerpt from Better Music programming (from 60's I presume). Also mention that KXL was located and owned the Clackamas Town Center site. More tomorrow and Friday so they say. It was frustratingly too little.

Does anyone recall a KXL 60th? or 65th? brithday special, I think it was on a saturday afternoon and ran for several hours.

I remember a 65th anniversary show running I think the last weekend of November 1991. It was quite thorough and absolutely fascinating. I think they even mentioned that Lester whoever it was had planned to apply for a TV channel in Portland
