Funny article in Willamete Week that is very interesting. Is Cinnamon Bear a Northwest creation or was it nationwide? Big plans seem to be on the horizon.

I used to love the Cinnamon Bear! My grandparents played it when I was a kid.

I hope Omni is going to be carrying it on Golden Hours this year like they have in past years.........

Since I got my stereo VCR several years back (and now a modded Sony ICF36 this summer) it has become kind of a tradition for us!

I would go on the CB cruise in a heartbeat, if they could only get the rights to the REAL Cinnamon Bear outfit and bears. I believe Marshall Fields still owns the rights to the originals after it bought Lipman & Wolfe. I wish they'd re-issue them. I have a real one from eBay (see the "What do you Collect" thread on the other side) that's been loved to death.

I loved the CB, we listened to it on the radio every night when we were kids, right before bed. I loved going to Lipman's and seeing Paddy O'Cinnamon and getting a teddy bear cookie from him.

By the way, the original Cinnamon Bear serial is airing on K103 again this Christmas season. Gather the kiddos around the radio every night at 7!

This is the 36th year that KBPS-AM has aired the Cinnamon Bear series. We air two episodes a day back to back at 9am Monday through Friday. The series ends this Friday (the last day we have students on the air before winter break). If you missed it this year, you only have 12 months until we air it all over again!!

Go to:
http://www.radiolovers.com/

If you click on ALL SHOWS and scroll down to C, you'll find the cinnamon bear episodes there for your listening pleasure. The only down side is they list the episodes alphabetically. If you've listen to it as much as I have, putting them back in order with be no problem.
