Anyone know why my radio in my office when tuned into 92.3 picks up a signal from KINK 103 on that same frequency? It is loaded with static but is dumping XMAS all over KGON?

When did KINK move to 103? Since they always ask me, where is your office approx, and what make, model, age, etc is your radio and antenna?

Ok, here is a possibility... First, the source of Christmas music is likely KKCW 103.3 not KINK 101.9. The difference between 103.3 and 92.3 is 11 Mhz, this is close to the IF amplifier frequency (10.7 Mhz) used by nearly all FM receivers. Perhaps the two stations are mixing together in the "front end" of your radio and getting to the IF amplifier.

So....get a better receiver or live with it? Can you dumb down what you just said for me? Edit Add: You know I usually only notice this in the AM when Mark & Brian are on. Maybe it's something with the feed coming from KLOS? Is that a possibility?

A better receiver, with better selectivity will likely help... but you might try REDUCING the signal as much possible. If the problem is caused by mixing as I described, reducing the signal of each station by, for example 1/2 will reduce the undesired signal to 1/4! Try putting the antenna all the way down, move the radio to a slightly different location. Experiment a bit, you might find a "sweet spot".

"Experiment a bit, you might find a "sweet spot"." The "sweet spot" for a PhonySony might be in the trash can! (sorry, couldn't help myself! )

Ya...and I had to fight a rather large woman for it as well. She must have been 350 and was wearing brown stretch pants that were at one time white I think! Ewwwww. It was the last one on sale and we grabbed it at the same time. I distracted here though. I said "Oh wow look....there giving away candy samples over there" She turned and I got it....HHAaaaaaa!! Now I wish I had not. But anyway I lowered the antenna and that seemed to make things as good as a Wal-Mart radio can get! Thanks for the help! Most of the time I just like to go to Wal-Mart just to watch the freak show....especially on days like Black Friday.....that is a show that is worth getting up early to see.....grown up people acting like idiot's.....well maybe some are not acting!!!! LOL LMAO
