#1. Can someoene please give me a little background ( as neutral as possible ) on Jaquel's history here? I got an email asking me my thoughts on " Hey - i'm thinking about starting a website like pdxradio.com, what would you like to see on it? " This on the heels of another email trying to stir up outrage that she can no longer post here.

I have no answer for that. I don't want another one. But her name has been mentioned around here and I just have no clue who she is.

#2. I'm thinking about mentioning a time and place for a holiday cocktail if anyone is in the mood. Brief, informal and loose. Possibly just me at a bar - but with a label of "GATHERING", it helps me justify it...ahem.

I know nothing of Jaquel, but to me, she didn't seem a whole lot different than many of the posters on this board. She seemed like a fairly typical democrat type to me.

I've stated my political views quite directly here and have never been banned.

My GUESS [and that's all it is] is that it she must have done something off the radar, and probably not purely political, to get banned.

I to received this and know little of the person. Know though that there was an issue were some property for sale was listed on the Radio side and shortly after that...no more Jacquel7. There was probably more to it than that but I cannot tell you what that may be. There are others here who have also made negative comments on that person so I guess the word of the day would be "CAUTION"!

A few of us tried a little "get-together" last year. We had two and they were only moderately successful. The first one, we had four (total): Doug, Alfredo, and some other guy whose name I now forget. It was fun. The second time, there was a mini-snow storm (only one of the season) at about the exact time were supposed to meet and only Alfredo and I made it. Never tried again after that.

If someone else picks a place, I'd be willing to attend if I'm able to.

To make a long story short, the Yugo is back in my garage, I keep it as a display since it no longer runs. I hope to get it fixed soon. To make matters worse it needs a new transmission

Nah Dark .. I built a 2000cc for it, stroked out the old 1800 .. big ol' cam, modified the heads a little bit.

It's half-assed though, I'm running a Weber progressive on it right now. It goes great, but it starves a bit for gas. I need dual 44s .. I'd be happy with that.

Maybe with tax money next spring .. not sure if I will pay to dual off the carbs or for vacation next summer.
