Huh......most police officers I have known over the years (neighbours, school security, the congregation at church etc.......) would merely laugh at cases like this. Either that or would consider it "petty theft" and wouldn't bother pursuing it.

Absolutely ridiculous. (*shaked head in disgust*)

Why not just return the gift and either replace the snooped and already played with gift with something the child will find very lame or worse yet nothing at all.

Amd the mother should be brought up on charges for filing a false police report. Why law enforcement gave into this shit is as Motozak said Absolutely riciculous.

Trying to read "inbetween the lines", possibly bordering on an outright conspiracy theory (I'm not usually a conspiracy theorist mind you,) I'm inclined to think the mother must have had some ties to the police officer she reported this to. Mutual friend of the family, sibling, cousin.............

But no police office that I know would ever bother pursuing this. Like I say she must have set this up somehow or had ties within the system..........

(Now at what point do I bring Occam's Razor into play here?)

Kind of shows people where their tax dollars are going though. Hopefully someone had the idea to cry oppression! That's what "legal" acts such as this scream in my mind..............

What ever happened to the 1 inch wide leather belt on the ass punishment? Why do we have to rely on others to discipline our children? Why...because the bleeding do gooders will turn you in to child services for swatting a mis-behaving kid on the but in the store that's why. People seem to be so concerned with the kid getting spanked (for good reason) instead of did he deserve it and if no action is taken what kind of person will ne become. Kids today are brought up in a de-sensatized society were it is OK to mis-behave and to be rude to others. I sometimes think I would like to live in the fifties were boys and girls were polite and respectful to their parents and to others. Would want the segregation issue though to be non-existant of course!! Wasn't that the ERA of Wolfman Jack?
