Mike O'Shea is the new GM at Cumulus...where did he come from ? Is there a new GM at CC yet ? Any rumors on who is buying CC radio & TV ? I know Marathon had trouble with financing it.

Cumulus chose a good one this time around. I hope he'll put a real Hot AC format on 102.3, instead of this Magic wannabe lite crap.

I too would like to hear a younger skewing, "Buzz" type station.
102.3 has been marginal for so long, they may need to just blow it up and go with something completely different. Terry inherited a less-than-good situation and minor tweaks to a long-established underperformer isn't likely the answer.
They could go straight-on AC while Magic is stuck in Christmas music, ho, ho, hee, hee.

That is exactly what they have done.....Magic has gone xmas music and Star 102.3 is basically doing what thye were doing.....including Wham (george michael) I think they could do it well as long as they dont go as soft and keep the edgier stuff

It's still a little hard to believe two people like O'Shea and Mitchell are now in the same building in Eugene Oregon. I wouldn't want to be one of their competitors.
Since O'Shea is a Top 40/CHR guy maybe bigger changes are in store for the Cumulus cluster.

As long as Cumulus owns the station(s), the greatest GM and OM in the world will never be able to live up to their potential. The idiots in Atlanta are their own worst enemies. No one is afraid of being a competitor against Cumulus.
