If you have seen the Nelson and Terry TV ads,
( especially the one dealing with Nelsons' gas), I think you'd have to agree with me that their TV spots do NOTHING to make me, or the average person tune in. They are humorless, and tasteless. ALSO, the ads don't list what time they're on in the morning. The spots more or less are relying on people alrady knowing who they are, and what time they're on.

Guys, change it up. They are BADD! WHo ever thought of the concepts should be fired! They are just plain aweful!

why shouldn't their t.v. spots match their radio show which is led by the most talentless person on earth

The commercials never made any sense to me and if anything at they make me not want to listen to the show..

I think the show is fine, I just don't listen to it because of Terri Ann. You could replace her with a laugh track and no one would notice.

They are promoting Nelson and Terry cuz Dr Doug and Skippy are going across the hall to compete against them soon. Will they give Daria Tv ads too?

By the way, The farting Tv adds are great for 14 year old dudes to get a laugh from. IMHO

I thought they were pretty good actually. At least its "out of the box" compared to the usual "listen at 7:20 for your chance to win" schtick. If I didn't know who N&T were, it would definitely pique my interest to check 'em out.

Wrathoradio, I take it you WORK for 105.1 ? Sales maybe? I’m calling B*llsh*t on that one. Yes, listen and win tv sots are cliche, but the N&T spots are horrrible.
Once again, if you DIDN’T know who Nelson and terry were, would you tune in?

Nelson is a funny guy, and the commercials don’t reflect that at all. I’ve asked a few die hard N & T fans, and they agree.

Nelson- know you check the board out.. Come out with some new, KICK ASS spots. I’m not slagging your show, just the commercials. You guys are MUCH more talented that these spots show.

Looks like we just disagree on what we think is "horrible" my friend. Maybe to diehard N&T fans it comes up short but to others who haven't caught their show, I think they might at least give them a listen. If the show blows....they're gone. BTW I don't work for 105.1 and prefer Bob&Tom in the am.

And as far as this "major announcement"...99% of major radio announcements are nothing more than hype of something lame.

The spots are AWFUL. Come on. I don't care what consultants were involved, or what kind of gun was pointed at what part of my anatomy, I would never have allowed my name to be connected to those scripts. Those spots made me remove the Buzz as a preset.

I thought the commercials were Halarious! Especially the gas one! Good work guys!

I respect the fact that they did the spot's, don't you think that they know the spots are Korney. besides the playhouse, I see no other team promoting like them , like it or not

Oh good! someone posted about this. I was thinking of starting a thread about this. The ads are horrible. Now that I've been out of the biz for almost 3 years, I perceive things more a little like a listener. Watching those ads tells me that Nelson is a bad driver and I'm supposed to think it's funny. The most pointless spot in rotation is the one where they all wake up in the car with sleep masks on, scream, them nod back off. I don't get it. I don't even want to get it. The only thing it sells is the idea of getting a DVR, so I can fast-forward through their TV ads!

It least they are slightly creative, have you seen those AWFUL spots from movin?? A bunch of butts in your face. Stupid and cheesy just like the station.

N & T's "sleeping while driving" is just a bad and blatant rip-off of both "Planes Trains & Automobiles" and "Vacation". And not even remotely funny.

I disagree with most of you wholeheartedly. I think all 3 spots "Joamon4sure" looped off for us above are funny! They do just what they're supposed to make you do... they made me laugh, and they made me remember Nelson & Terry & 105.1.

You guys sound like a buncha grownups!

You know who else might think like grownups? The actual grownups who make up The Buzz's demo!

Radioboy, I bet you laugh at fart jokes too. Pull my finger...yep, uproariously funny. Get a clue...the Nelson and Terry spots are decidedly not funny.

I thought they are funny! So much better than those awful Corporate spots that Movin has on the air. have you seen those?? Worst ever. At least the Buzz are actually going out and making real commercials instead of these cheap ass corporate spots that Movin is doing.

One small observation.

Funny or Not. Corny or Not. You guys are talking to no end about them and a thread has been started in reference to them. Hmmmmm Advertising......get people talking about you.....seems to me that regardless on how you feel about them you noticed them enough to either like or dislike them. Either way you look at it they succeeded. RIGHT?

Justin have seen the Movin on TV but if you blink you miss it. Also have not seen the booty shaking one in the face lately.....guess they got bad ratings on that! LOL

speaking of movin and the buzz, someone on a seattle radio discussion board (who works for movin in seattle) says that early research in portland shows movin taking the biggest bite out of the buzz in portland. they (of course) did not post anything concrete to back up their claim.

Thats because its bologna! They are desperate to get listeners, and they are starting to realize that they have a failing format. Movin is the most pathetic station on the FM dial. No businesses are listening.

Sorry guys, but these are great catchy spots. Makes me want to sample the show. Why are you fuddy duddies worried about a little phart? Maybe if Teri Ann lit one, these three'd make Larry King!

Yeah, yeah, we're talking about the ads and we remember them. But that's cause we all like to talk about radio. What I'm communicating is that I think this is an ineffective ad. I don't think the average listener remembers the ad. We who post here see a radio ad and pay attention. The average listener needs the ad to grab their attention first, and personally I don't think these ads fit the bill

I am curious to see how long it will take Nelson to start bad mouthing Dr Doug and Skippy when they leave.
