Is there anyone who has time and ability to make a decent website/page?

I have specific needs and picky vibes I want it to express.

But I could really use the help.

I'll pay well for something done well.

Post a portfolio link or email me at chickenjuggler@aol.com

Or is this not a kosher thing to do on this board? I just like the resources here more than shopping for one somewhere else right now.

I think it more acceptable to ask for services rather than solicit services for hire or sale. But there is a line there as well. I mean think about it...we all want some type of work and if all members posted threads in search of people to do that then it could get ugly and cluttered with personal business in the forum. This goes back to jaquel7 getting banned when she mentioned a piece of property that was available. There are no clear rules regarding these subjects so tread lightly and try to keep any responses off forum would be my advice. I do basic web design and some work I did for a DJ once turned out awesome but unfortuneately never got published. I will email you with the name of the guy that did my companys website tomorrow....he is reasonable and pretty good.....way better than I but I do not do that full time either...just kind of pretty good at dabbling in it though.

Well that explains that odd email I got from Jaquel then. I had NO idea what she was talking about.

So hey - if I made a mistake and need to take some lumps, ok. But to make it more clear, I'm looking for website design that would be centered around my internet broadcast. And this seemed like a reasonable place to ask. I mean, I wouldn't go to a real estate chat room and ask. This side of pdxradio seemed, and I can't believe I'm saying this, more open to the idea than say the hard-cores that may rush to squash it on the other radio side.

Sorry in advance if I get nailed for it.

IMHO, this is different. We've had people ask for computer help and other things. Hopefully Dan agrees!

What Jaquel did was use the board for networking and selling. No offer of compensation, just pass the word along about some property. That's essentially a spam. Not cool. Posted right on the radio side too. At least this being other things, it's in the right place!

I do agree with keeping responses off line though. Hope you find somebody.

Well it is primarily a radio forum so you are on target. Don't think you should get nailed on it though. Dan after all was in radio at one time also. Think you are right to post this side as it would not have been met well over on the "DARK SIDE OF THE FORUM" Remember what awaits you there is only that which you take with you...LOL

me me me! I do crappy web designing! :-)

Actually, Earthlink's near-idiot proof webpage tools makes it easy to have sharp looking pages so you can spend more time on content. I particularly like it because it allows for easy updating without digging up html code from the back of your brain. But then you have to be a Earthlink subscriber.

ps: my truly crappy radio webpage was NOT done using the new web tools. The webpage I did create with it is not radio related so email me for that link.

good luck!

My web pages are very average, but I think people can overlook that because the pictures are pretty nice! (I hope.) I code them all by hand in HTML and Perl/Javascript/CGI scripting. Kind of a pain but I do have complete control that way.
