Oh man, I've just gotta post this for some discussion. Anyone find a link to the actual study? http://www.ctnow.com/custom/nmm/newhavenadvocate/hce-nha-1123-nh48bushbash48.art nov23,0,1695911.story A teaser: ohse, a social work master’s student at Southern Connecticut State University, says he has proven what many progressives have probably suspected for years: a direct link between mental illness and support for President Bush. ... “Our study shows that psychotic patients prefer an authoritative leader,” Lohse says. “If your world is very mixed up, there’s something very comforting about someone telling you, ‘This is how it’s going to be.’” ... “Bush supporters had significantly less knowledge about current issues, government and politics than those who supported Kerry,” the study says. Lohse says the trend isn’t unique to Bush: A 1977 study by Frumkin & Ibrahim found psychiatric patients preferred Nixon over McGovern in the 1972 election. End teaser. Now you all tell me, what is the major source of conflict here, as of late? That's right, poor grasp of facts and a general confusion regarding matters of truth, faith, conviction, logic, etc... This short story says it all. Discuss?

I have the utmost faith in the results being true and accurate, so please do not try to convince me otherwise with a bunch of facts

There's nothing to discuss. The evidence presented in this very forum speaks for itself. Mental incapitation often reveals itself in ugly ways.
