As the liberals already fight amongst themselves in a grapple for power, their love-fest was VERY short-lived.

RIP, democrats.

Spin on, leftists.

LOL! That's the best you can come up with?

The difference between the Democrats and the Republicans is that the Democrats have diversity, and don't fall LOCK STEP in line with everybody else in the party. Just as an investment portfolio performs best with diversification, so does leadership. Lack of diverse opinions, along with many other factors, is why America decided to fire both the GOP led House and Senate.

I think its invigorating that the Democrats don't all agree on everything and have their disputes out in the open. It's a healthy sign, not an indication of the rot and decay that has plauged the Republican party the last few years.

Sam, Frasier, Cliff, Norm:
CAT FIGHT. CAT FIGHT.

Kelly Gaines:
You get outta my way right now or, so help me God, I'll... I'll hurt your feelings.

Emily: You do that and I'll hurt yours right back.

Frasier: KITTEN fight.

Oh, now we see the leftist spinmeisters at work.

When conservatives disagree, they're fighting.

When liberals disagree, it's di-veeeerrrrsity.

Well, that's about all you'll get for the next two looong years.

Like Ms. Pelosi, we remember Mr. Clinton describing how he would have the most ethical administration ever.

Good luck getting a majority on anything with this crowd. Bring on the GRIDLOCK.

Spin away.

Herb, are you still weeping yourself to sleep every night realizing that your side doesn't have the majority anymore? Upset that the 9/11 Commission Recommendations will finally be approved?

Aren't you glad Trent Lott is back?

I'm not convinced that the election results have registered with Wayner quite yet.

He's still stuck on that whole WMD thingy.

C'mon Herb!

The differences are pretty stark and represent a valid choice to the voters.

On one hand, the GOP acts pretty much like a unit when it's running well. The ones at the top lead the ones at the bottom. Public input is not considered in the same way it is on the Democratic side of the asile.

The Dems, fight because they are representatives. This means they bring the views of those they represent to the table. It also means the party has leadership like the GOP does, but encourages debate as well.

Look.

Conservatives get pilloried by 'progressives' because the Republican tent 'isn't big enough.'

I'm merely pointing out the inconsistency of those from the left side of the aisle.

Besides, you guys have to admit it's an uphill slog for our democrat friends; How union hard hats can ever sing kum-bah-yah with radical flag-burning hippies is beyond me.

At least any former crooked conservative politician can learn from someone like Mr. Colson, an honourable man now, indeed.

And he was one of Mr. Nixon's men, God rest his Presidential soul.

Remember, guys. Mr. Colson took ONE FBI file. Mrs. Clinton's minions who are alleged to have stolen hundreds should come clean, too.

Colson is a crook, just like Nixon. Your obsession with them is disturbing.

But if we want to talk modern day crooks, forget about the 70's, we just voted a bunch out two weeks ago. Well, at least those that hadn't already been kicked out, resigned, or put in jail.

Herb, the so-called "FBI Gate scandal" was investigated and no wrongdoing was found. Do you not trust the Republicans who investigated it? The fact that you cling to such things really makes you look desperate for absolutely anything to smear the Democrats with.

Colson, FYI, was indicted for obstruction of justice in the Daniel Ellsberg case. He took a deal to testify against his fellow co-conspirators, including Nixon. Here's a great website that debunks the myth comparing "Filegate" to Colson's crimes:

http://www.jeffcohen.org/docs/columnfilegate.html

Just because the other charges against Colson were dropped as part of the deal, it doesn't mean Colson didn't do anything else wrong. Great quote from the website above:

"To say that Colson went to prison because he obtained (or misused) one FBI file is like saying the bloody gangster Al Capone went to prison because be was a tax cheat."

"Colson is a crook..."

If you don't believe in redemption, I sure hope you're perfect.

And I thought liberals were the party of compassion.

Guess that's simply not true...unless it's fighting for the right to grisly partial birth abortion procedures.

In that case, the left has plenty of compassion.
Up is down and down is up.

Spin on.

The libs only believe they can have compassion. I have never seen it toward anybody else. But at least we who are Christians know that we are supposed to forgive. But that means conservatives too and not just everyone thats a liberal. Colson is a beautiful example of how someone who was in trouble was used mightly by God. You want to see someone else who was even worse? Check out the Apostle Paul.

Hey, if you're gonna worship a crook, you better be prepared to be questioned. The only thing you two religious right wing nutballs can do is bring up gay marriage and abortion under every topic, because you have no ground to stand otherwise. You guys really are pathetic! Can't debate, so just change the subject.

You are the one that is fighting over the matter. You are for that because I am against it. Why do we talk about that at all? There is no reason at all unless to pick a fight. And I worship Jesus. He forgave Colson and so do I. If you can't forgive thats your problem not mine. And if you don't forgive others Pete God won't forgive you.

I have no doubt that Charles Colson's conversion to Christianity was sincere as was GW Bush's.

Conversion is one thing, but what happens after that is the true test of ones new found salvation.

Just a friendly reminder that there are progressive thinking Christians, and it was a bunch of us along with disenfranchised conservative evangelicals that helped change much of what happen in the House and Senate.

Salvation comes free, but the life changed afterwards has to produce quality fruit and not just do a bunch of talking. "Do justice, love kindness, and walk HUMBLY with your God."
