I think we will see some minor changes as Raul steps up. He will make a coupla moves to remind everyone how things need to go.

Other than that, same old same old.

We might see some interesting developments from allies though. I've no idea about Raul's relationships in this regard.

Just one of the many reasons why labels are almost completely useless for any real conversation.

Actually most Cubans there aren't too hip on Raul. Raul is not liked even by his own people. he was the "bad" guy or even worse than Fidel in that he was the one who handled the 'security' of the country which in turn means persecution of his own people. As far a JFK, one can blame the failure of the Bay of Pigs on JFK. He would not release proper air cover and they didn't have a chance. Eisenhauer was qouted privately as saying he never would have allowed an invasion without it. So even though he signed off he never went forward as he should have. Castro is a very evil person and any person who thinks otherwise is not a very intelligent person. He is a dictator whose people have suffered a great deal. I will wait till I hear he is dead before celebrating. And not before.

Have you read the Communist Manifesto? Do you even know what it is? Any part whatsoever? Karl Marx didn't preach totalitarianism at all, he simply preached the idea of a one-class society where the needs of all were met by a collective, central-government-owned and operated effort. Unrealistic yes, and against human nature, but hardly violent in thought.

Lenin and Stalin added the totalitarianism effect, carried on by Mao and Castro and the like. The latter-day Soviet premiers weren't inherently bad people like you seem to think Wayne. Comparing Gorbachev to Stalin .. or Hitler or Saddam ... is ludicrous.
