"I'll bet the Republicans litigate the heck out of these two races..." Given what has already transpired, they would be foolish to IMO. They've lost the house in a landslide, and the Senate, best-case scenario, will be 51-49 GOP ... basically a 50-50 split. Do they REALLY want to alienate people MORE when they have lost so much? cnn.com had an article saying Bush was "praising" the fact that most of the Democratic gains in the House were by moderate Democrats and not ultra-liberals, and that he felt he can work with them. Show us Georgie, show us.

Hope you are right. I'm also hoping the Dems wake up this morning and just start acting like they have won the senate, just like Republicans did in 2000 with the Presidency. Every little bit helps! Hey Randy, if you are reading this, I find it interesting that corruption and ethics are a major factor in this election. Remember the "importance" thread we had a while back? The subsequent discussion put lots of other issues at the top, over these. You and I both expressed disappointment over that. Well, seems we were more in line with the average joe bag 'o doughnuts than we thought! Exit polling reveals these issues to outweigh even the war in many races! w00t!

Agreed! Seems we are still mostly Americans first afterall! The extremists can.... Suck it! Man, I'm in a good mood. I went to sleep thinking we might squeak out the national house, might get the oregon house amidst a ton of court battles. Woke up to a strong senate possibility and both houses secure! The Senate will end up in the courts probably, but that's just fine. I feel for real conservatives because they got dragged down in this mess. Hopefully they will rebuild with solid people, thus leaving the extremists marginalized just as they should be.

The Senate seat in Montana has gone to the democrats, leaving only the race in Virginia as the uncertain outcome now. You who reject God are doing a pretty good job of forcing your views on gay marriage down our throats too. Most of us don't even want that. I am amazed that you can't understand the religious objections to that. shall we have polygamy too? Or do you want men to marry their pets? Thats what would happen with gay marriage, like it or not.

Wayne, you have to stop saying anyone who supports abortion hates God, because there are plenty of religious folks who do not hate gays and accept them. I think most of the folks who fear gays probably never set foot in a church, where most learn about accepting our brothers and sisters for the way they are and not just the way we might want them.

I think this will be only a good thing for us Republicans, I agree with you Trix. Our party has gone way too far to the right, it's time for someone to come out and reach across that aisle. We're not ALL heathens who run around with clubs chasing woolly mammoths. It seems that a lot of the Republicans who lost were members of the Christian-right ... I was reading an article somewhere this morning about how the "Nixon Republicans" have disappeared. Before you all go off on me about this, hear me out - it made some sense. Nixon, for all his faults, DID establish the EPA and was very pro-civil rights ... and like-minded Republicans back then are now Democrats, while all too many in the GOP want to slash and burn everything in sight and shut the door on anyone not just like them. A return to the center is due.

Wayne you always hold a grudge, contantly spouting off the right winger view. What makes matters worse when we point out that you are wrong, you won't listen to the truth. Instead you create your own "truth". It wastes everybody's time. To state one simple fact, is there government waste? Of course there is, but is it on the level of Enron? Of course not. But who do right wingers attack? Enron? no they attack government. That's why the right is wrong and that along with others was why the right went home yesterday. Now with the Democrats holding a majority of State Houses and the Supreme Court ruling this year on redistricting. I think those Democratic States should redistrict to get rid of the GOP germandering that happened in 1991 and 2001. Then the landside would have been much greater this year, except for the germandering that the "right" has done over the past twenty years.

Hey Wayne I know your Financial Guy Paul from the Stafford CPO. And to tell you the truth the $1 Million that you guys are paying for the round about at Wankers Corner is not a tax, but a fee for the demands that your church places on the roads. In addition since when did serving lattes at the latte bar become part of a religious service? And to keep the piling on, your church wouldn't even exist at this location if it wasn't for a bad divorce where one party chose to sell the land to a non profit so the other party of the divorce would receive a reduce settlement. Now I don't remember seeing in the bible that the Lord wanted parties to divorce so that a church could be built on land at a low value. Want any more dirty laundry Wayne. You might want to go to the farms in the area and help them help you by hunting a crow or two and then cook it and enjoy eating your crow. Oh yes, I should have known you were a member of that Church or the Athey Creek Church. I don't remember that having the National Touring Company of Veggie Tales qualifies as a religious event, since the land use for the Veggie Tales is not allowed to perform concerts unders Rolling Hills Land Use permit. However attendance was light enough that it provided no excess traffice in the area. The best part of Measure 37 from 2004 is that Rolling Hills came in AFTER the area was zoned for 20 acre minimum. So no Measure 37 claim coming from your chruch for the Round about. Did your minister tell you any of this? I'm no coward, now enjoy your crow.
