Okay- just went outside to clean out the two drains clogged by leaves. Then noticed a bigger puddle on the main street near our house. Went to get my flares to warn traffic but the fire dept. was all over it.

Guy down the street had over a foot and half of water in his basement, which has an entrance just off the main drag. What a drag.

Wait till tomorrow morning.....can see the headlines already.

No swimming in the Willamette as there was 4 million gallons of raw sewage that overflowed into the river as a result of the heavy rains.

I was in my living room (inner NE Portland) when I heard a loud "bang" outside, like someone slammed a car into the side of the house! The house shook but not much and not for long. My first reaction was "earthquake!!" but it didn't seem to last long enough. I wondered if someone had dropped something at the contstruction site next door or something.

Just goes to remind us that we could get a real earthquake here at just about any time!

How funny. I thought I felt something funny tonight when I was laying on the couch watching TV, and after reading this thread, I guess I felt it too!

Long Island
If I'm conservative that evening I have one, otherwise it's two!

That's it.

"Must be your trips to Long Island"
After two of them no wonder you don't feel anything! LOL

Rain, floods, earthquakes, fire (California), murder.

Only one explanation:

The Democrats will win!

(thought I'd get our buddies riled up.)

hehe...

It's all coming down tomorrow people!

First it's waiting for results, listening to a lot of last minute prognosticators (I don't even want to know if I spelled that correctly!), etc...

Then come the court battles.

I predict a ton of them over voting issues this time around. Enough to make any planet rumble!
