Every Portland FM is now streaming online with fairly decent processing, but why do so many other large markets have major online processing issues? |

I have a card I plug into my laptop, that lets me get broadband speed from about anywhere (Verizon). It wouldnt be hard for them to incorporate that technology into a handheld device, and be programed to only play streaming audio. |

The easy answer is that the Portland area has a higher per capita percentage of computer geeks, which translates into better web sites and links. We also have more DSL and Broadband available than most other major metro areas. And, of course, once one station has it, all the rest have to have it too! |
