I don't see how a ready-made format would lend itself to "selling off properties one by one". If anything, the homogenization of stations nation wide benefits any ONE company that gets to cut programming costs by programming all of them centrally. It might make sense if CBS planned to sell ALL of their properties to one company. |

Homogonized programming.....all that does is setup the live and local talent to get CREAMED! Without a live and local show these ready made liner stations will hit bottom quickly. I just thought that other post interesting...maybe they intend to sell off certain elements nationwide....the ones with less baggage may be more attractive to buyers as no contracts with local talent to hassle with and easy to flip to the new owners preference. I can see both sides but this listener will only tune to stations with live and local talent. |

Darktemper got stage fright and left. Looks like his profile was deleted. I don't think Darktemper worked for CBS, most people who get fired, move on. Getting fired is as common as takin a #2. |

Sounds like Rock Hits was his favorite station. Gonna be hard to keep a favorite these days. The dark days of radio. Kind of like The Matrix. DJ's (humans) VS Corporate (The Agent Smiths). |
