Have you heard the new supergroup Chickenfoot???

So check out the lineup on this band

Sammy Hagar-Lead Vocals

Joe Satriani-

Michael Anthony

Chad Smith(From The Red Hot Chilli Peppers)

Im not sure when the new album comes out, But I just heard the first single on KUFO the other day and its pretty cool!
Joe Satriani is awesome infact a better guitarist than Eddie Van Halen, plus he's not an egotistical ASS like Eddie.

Satriani and Eddie are apples and oranges ... Satriani is much more technical, there's a beauty to his style. Eddie revolutionized axe grinding, it's much more raw.

I heard of the new album coming out, I will have to check it out for sure. What a lineup!

Im glad to see Kufo playing the new single from Chickenfoot! Im so tired of hearing Bullshit like Incubis being played non-stop on rock radio, and everyone over 35 getting denied airplay because of their age.

People whom studied under Satriani:

Steve Vai (Zappa/Mothers, Alcatraz, David Lee Roth, Whitesnake), Kirk Hammett of Metallica, Marty Friedman (ex-Megadeth), David Bryson of Counting Crows, Kevin Cadogan from Third Eye Blind, Larry LaLonde of Primus / Possessed, Alex Skolnick of Testament, Rick Hunolt (ex-Exodus), Phil Kettner of Lääz Rockit, Geoff Tyson of T-Ride, and Charlie Hunter.

People whom studied under Eddie:

Valerie Bertinelli

Satriani studied music with jazz guitarist Billy Bauer and with reclusive jazz pianist Lennie Tristano. He is heavily influenced by famous music icons such as Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page and Jeff Beck.

In April 1996, in an interview with Guitar World, when asked about how he went from playing his first open A chord to playing "Eruption", Eddie replied: “Practice. I used to sit on the edge of my bed with a six-pack of Schlitz Malt talls. My brother would go out at 7pm to party and get laid, and when he'd come back at 3am, I would still be sitting in the same place, playing guitar. I did that for years — I still do that.”
Eddie has many influences, most notably Eric Clapton. He has also acknowledged the influence of Queen guitarist Brian May, Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page, and fusion guitarist Allan Holdsworth, as well as the likes of Montrose guitarist Ronnie Montrose.

A cool comparison of lifestyles resulting in lots of good music.

I am digging this era of collaboration. I'm sure it's been common for longer that I care to analyze. All I know is that there has never been more ways to see / hear some of my favorite artists than in this decade.

Not even close.
