A breathalyzer would have solved the debate. Why not give him one? Wrecking your car like that is probable cause in my book. Some say a normal citizen would have had to submit to one based on the type of accident. |

Assuming the mayor hadn't been drinking, he should have requested a field sobriety test to stop the public speculation dead in its tracks. And if he didn't think to ask for one, the investigating office should have suggsted he take one for his own sake. On the other hand, if he'd had a few beers... |
