And I say it's about time.

It's forwarded by Desmond Tu Tu and many within the evangelical and ecumenical faith communities are supporting it. It's actually well thought out.

Even if you don't read the bible I think you'll appreciate the care and deliberate usage of recycled and sustainable resources that were used to make this happen.

I think no further than Dr. James Dobson, who was livid that some of his fellow evangelicals were breaking ranks with him on the environment. Dobson was upset that they wouldn’t toe the line and support the draconian positions of conservatives political leaders on the environment. Good for them.

As a Christian, I would ask myself, "How does God feel about humankind raping and pillaging this planet He created for us to be His disciples on?" and be pissed when I see our religious leaders side with the conservatives as far as the environment.

Just another example of so many of the Religious Right and their hypocrisy.

That's a keeper.

Put it on the front, with "Don't shit where you eat!" on the back, for the slower ones.

I like how the verses in scripture that talk about God's creation are written in Green Ink (soy based). There are over 1000 references in scripture about God's handiwork.

In this day and age we can save a heck of a lot of trees by having God address his followers DIRECTLY, but this idea destroys the infrastructure man created over the centuries in an effort to make imagination seem real.

Really? I always thought it was "I'm a God fearing American and that entitles me to cheap gas. Drill baby drill!".

Skep-

Learning philosophy, electronics, economics, or getting certified as a teacher or working towards your BA, Masters or PH.,D. requires lots of reading to get the full breadth of education on any one subject.

So it is with the bible. That's why you have so many versions of it in almost every language. People want to learn and thus they need a manual. And now that manual is being made sustainably.

We can debate the credibility of the bible on another thread.
