This is quite possibly the coolest thing I have ever seen on YouTube.

Come on, without the PC he is nothing...actually this might break the stereo type "someone had a whole lota spare time" into something quite creative...pieces of musical humanity...

I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings, but without computers, there is no recorded music -- regardless of the genre. Even analog devotees have to convert it to digital at some point. I hope Kutiman does more mash-ups in the future to show our shared humanity and closeness as a world community. Music is a common language that most of us speak together as one planet.

Beyond the brilliant editing, he freely let the soul of the performers shine through. These seven songs clearly show that we as a species are infinitely greater than the sum of our individual parts. It also demonstrates how we can all get along on some level. The global collaboration reminded me a bit of Stumpy by the Tall Dwarfs, though even more organic in nature and execution.

Perhaps the genius of this project was lost on you, but I thought that the way it bound complete strangers together through music was incredible. Unlike his commercial counterparts, he fully credited the performances of every musician. These were folks who had never met, all performing together and adding to the fabric of songs that were entirely new and unintentional.

That's pretty dang amazing!
