This is one of the more Orewllian and divisive terms to come out of the last administration.

I hated it. I hated it because it put the term "person" into serious question, as if some "persons" were less of a person than other persons.

Good on Obama.

Maybe we will see rule of law largely restored. If we've got a solid reason to hold them, we hold them. Nothing wrong with that.

"Enemy combatant" can still be applied to thugs like Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Libby, . . . should Bush be on this list or is "stupid combatant" a more factually correct term?

I would really like to know when he finally realized this.

I'm thinking he sort of shafted Cheney during his final days when he refused to pardon Libby, even though the VP pressured him numerous times. Secondly, when Bush last saw Cheney, Bush gave him a sort of half-a$$ed "wave off" that sort of looked like "thanks for nothing A-hole" to me.

Maybe he has more of a conscience than we thought. Cheney, IMHO, was truly the evil behind this administration. Bush largely followed.
