I was reading an article from Bloomberg.com about the unemployment picture in the country. One interesting side note in the article was regarding the state of Louisiana. Louisiana seems to be doing better than the rest of the country. And do you know why? Because of all the federal dollars pumped into its economy because of Hurricane Katrina. They’ve received billions in funding for rebuilding areas damaged or destroyed by Katrina. For Bobby Jindal or any other conservative to claim that federal dollars (like stimulus money) can’t have a tangible impact seems extremely disingenuous given what’s currently occurring in Louisiana. Bobby Jindal is a liar and first class hypocrite. For him to rail against federal spending on a stimulus but take credit for an expanding economy in Louisiana when it’s in large measure do to federal funds pumped into that economy seem beyond disingenuous.
