Yes he has. It's damn nice to see him work on more than one thing at a time too! This really impacts that daily news cycle in a positive way.

Just hammering on one specific thing doesn't cut it any more. There is a lot going on.

Broadway, I'm curious. When Ronald Reagan became president, it took nearly three plus years for the economy to turn around. Would you have given Ronald Reagan a failing grade for not having turned the economy around in the first eight weeks of his presidency?

Broadway: let's see, did the stock market dive bomb at Reagan's start?

No, it had been a bear market for 12 years by the time he took office. However, a huge recession did happen soon after he took office. Does that count?

You can link the mess that Reagan took over back to the Nixon days, Broadway.

You can link the mess Obama took over back to George W. Bush. Even though the economy was in recession when he took office, it was in MUCH better shape. The Dow was at record highs, we had a budget SURPLUS.

Try again at your revisionist history, sir. You might also want to check the books in your library, to make sure they're colored in.

again you can thank a Republican Congress and the dot.com boom for that. The health of a nations economy is largly due to it's government staying out of the way of commerce...less intervention, not billions of it's so called dollars infused into pork.

"The health of a nations economy is largly due to it's government staying out of the way of commerce...less intervention, not billions of it's so called dollars infused into pork."

Well using your logic, shouldn't our economy be absolutely booming right now, given the amount of laissez-faire deregulation that happened under the Bush years?

I'm with you 100% on the idea of free commerce. But if the last eight years have proven anything, free commerce still has to be held in check, and accountable. We cannot depend on company CEOs to do the right thing here!

"again you can thank a Republican Congress and the dot.com boom for that."

I beg to differ. George H. W. Bush and Bill Clinton both raised taxes which helped create the surpluses of the late 1990’s. Plus Bill Clinton cut defense spending. These steps, coupled with strong economic growth in nearly all sectors of the economy (not just the dot.coms) helped create a surplus in the late 1990's that George W. Bush squandered very early on in his presidency.

62kgw,

Do you have a disability?
I'm actually serious.
I can't help but think you may be using some alternative form of user interface.

A couple of years ago I had an accident with a table saw, and used voice recognition software for awhile.
My typing at that time looked a lot like yours does.

If that's the case, my hats off to you.

I'm starting to wonder if 62kGW is a quadriplegic poster. (seriously) He might be sitting in his wheel chair posting messages by "Voice command". Just because you can't use your hands does not mean you can't post messages on a message board.

So before we prejudge him, lets ask a couple of serious questions that may actually explain some of his crazy postings.
I will start.

62kgw, are you a quadriplegic? Are you able to use your hands or are you typing messages by Voice command?

If you could answer these questions, we might be able to understand you better, and see where you're actually coming from.
