As we know now, the DirecTV people have bailed out Sirius/XM for the moment. I've been listening to the music channels off and on since Sirius took over XM, and I wonder if you've noticed the difference in programmng philosophy that has changed the sound. To my ears, the Sirius people have given the service a more "commercial Radio" sound, not quite as laid back as XM was before. I hear the service as a lot more up front and in your face with more jock involvement. On the original XM, it was hard to tell if there was anyone there, or was the machine just rolling out the music. Now there seems to be a more human touch. What do you think?

I have Sirius and before the merger, I frequently hopped between CH-16 (The Vault), CH-14 (Classic Vinyl) and CH-31 (Margaritaville). Now, with the change in programming and channels, I find that I very rarely switch off of CH-16 (Deep Tracks). I really like the new "mix" of music they have on CH-16. There is a much, much wider variety of music and actually there is more that I like and less that I don't care for! I find that the jocks that are on 16 tend to talk and give a little history of the artist, group or song more than they did when it was just Sirius. I like it a lot since the merger.
