I Love the band Shinedown, and when I first heard the song "Devour" I was immediately hooked, it reminded me of old "Iron Maiden". So I ran out and bought the cd, but noticed it has a lot of "Filler" on the cd, what a bummer!! I was hoping for an album full of great songs. It has 3 great songs on the cd and a lot of filler!
Maybe the Casingle should make its return??

What are some of your favorite bands that have a lot of great music , But only have 2 or 3 good songs per cd and the rest filler??

I never understand why some bands release 1 or 2 good songs per cd and the rest "Filler". Why not spend more more time making a great record with no filler?? I just love buying albums where you throw the cd in the player and listen to the entire album WITHOUT hitting the skip button!

Depeche Mode....

Not one of my favourite bands but I do enjoy some of their work (mostly the "older" stuff.) "Playing the Angel" only had one decent cut ("Precious"). All the rest was merely a random bit stream inserted to pad that cut and make it look like an entire record!

I still can't figure out why people do that, either.....
