I was at Cinema 21's website and guess what appears on the front page?

Andrew's photos are on display in the lobby!

Hopefully I'll get to see them in person, I'm trying to see both "Wendy and Lucy" and "The Wrestler" with Mickey Rourke.

Heck, I was there last week to see Lucy and Wendy and did not see the display. Must have just gone up. Congrats Andrew!

Yeah, just went up a year and half ago, LOL! No worries, if you aren't looking for the pics, you would walk right past them. Downstairs, as you exit back out of the auditorium, through the lobby, you're faced with my bridge pics, though. You have no idea how many friends of mine have gone to C21 and never even noticed them, knowing full well that I take bridge photos!

I actually have some new ones to replace those with. Problem is hanging them. The walls at C21 are concrete, and I have to use what's in the walls now to hang them - no new nails!!! I've got some vertical shots, actually, and they are only mounted on fome core so I will try to hang them with some sticky-hangers - once I can get around to it...

Thanks for the shout out, Merk! "Wendy and Lucy" has been popular so must be good, but I have put off seeing it - sounds a bit downbeat. But I will be seeing "The Wrestler" for sure.

I wouldn't exactly rush down to see Wendy and Lucy. A bit slow for this decade. They could cut out 20 minutes easily and have the same impact.

I cannot wait to see the Wrestler. I have a gut feeling that its not going to open wide for awhile (ie Salem) and am thinking of wandering up to NW to see it at Cinema 21.

I am a longtime diehard wrestling fan (ok so I don't watch much of WWE or TNA on television) and this movie has so much buzz just inside the wrestling circle for what it is and what it means for this film and its critical accliam thus far. Thursday next week will be the big day for the movie and the implications of the success of the movie on the wrestling business.

Only one brief scene in the film from what I have heard is negative or not true and accurate of the real industry.

Implications for the business from the films success is possible unionization which is very long overdue in the wrestling business. There is no reason why certain guys in the industry can't be members of SAG. And anything thats not on television would at the very least have a pension and health care.

So lets see what happens Thursday with the Oscar nominations. No doubt though is that Mickey Rourke is the all time comeback kid. And this is the best acting performance all year although a very close race.

Gonna see Slumdog Millionaire this weekend and hopefully the Wrestler next week.

We went to "Wendy and Lucy" last weekend, I wish I'd known about the pictures.

The movie is indeed very slow, but, if you go with it, it's worth it. Great acting, and the whole thing kind of stays with you after you leave the theater. So, that's a mark of a good film.

Now, if you're an action fan, don't go.

I want to see this so bad, but just need to know if Lucy dies or has any misfortune. I can't handle that right now with a very ill dog at home.

Shyguy, I'm checking schedooleys with Mr. M to see if I can go to The Wrestler with you.

Then you'll surely want to skip "Marley and Me"

"Wendy and Lucy" is now at the Hollywood Theatre. But "The Wrestler" opened today at Cinema 21 - exclusive engagement this week I think. Not sure how long it will run.

There are two other cool films over at the Laurelhurst this week: "Tell No One" (a French thriller with a lot of twists) and "Religulous" (Bill Maher mocks the world's religions and warns us about the power they hold.)

Merky- No, Lucy doesn't die or have any real misfortune. Mrs. Warner was worried about the same thing, she almost got up and left. But it's fine, actually kind of sweet.

Thanks, Warner, hope that wasn't a spoiler for anyone, and Dono, I definitely am never reading or seeing Marley & Me...
