The only thing that is new is that 1550 got some singing IDs. I heard them on Saturday, and I like them! They stand out well in a world of minimalist-sounding dry IDs.

There are a few stations where singing IDs probably would not fit, such as KUFO (hah!) or KOPB. On 1550, they are just fine.

I doubt if 62 has even heard HD radio. He just likes to complain.

Netoldies.com plays old jingles at times. One that is prominent is the music for the one I remember from KJR..... KJR, Seattle, Channel 95. About every six cuts they play that one. Plus old commercials.

I heard one once or twice when Marconi was on the station, I think he himself sung it as part of the promo for his afternoon drive show.

From what I've heard on other threads, it seems that if HD is ever broadcast on 1550, it will be when that station goes under different ownership. In other words, Pamplin is hard up for cash, so he is going to be reluctant to put any more money into that radio station.

I wish that were on FM and not AM I have heard a new artist on that once in awhile.

1550 is playing the 70s (though still "sunny"). And QSA3 now at night in Milwaukie.
