Dave was a very good hearted man. I had the pleasure of being hired by him and working with him in the late 90's into 2001, before he retired. He was an industry leader and an excellent broadcast manager. Dave was and always will be "Eugene Radio".

Dave's Memorial Service will be sometime after the first of the year. He was a "class act", true gentleman, and a broadcaster through and through.
He will be missed by all that came in contact with him. Thoughts and prayers go out to his wife and family. I had the pleasure of knowing and working for him for over 18 years.

...Very sad to hear about Dave. I had the honor of being hired and fired by him several times. He was always easygoing and a pleasure to work for. He did a lot for Eugene radio.

And fired? There's a story in there somewhere. Hey, Tom! Where are you these days? I'm down in Arizona where, several years back, I was expelled out the back end of Clear Channel with the rest of the old farts...

Wish we'd had more time to get to know each other in Eugene. Enjoyed your work at KEED.

The services will be January 10 at 11am at St. Judes Catholic Church in Eugene. Pat said Dave had instructions for a full dress Knights of Columbus service so, in typical Dave fashion, it will be quite a show.

The Oregon Electric Station. Not sure if it was Dave's favorite place, but I KNOW it was his favorite place where we had trade. I have fond memories of sitting on the front patio trying to find the answers to all of our radio questions.

The Oregon Electric Station also seemed to be where most of the station Christmas parties were. See above for the reason...Dave would always do a very nice speech toward the end thanking everyone personally and publicly for their efforts.

When my mother became seriously ill, he showed great concern and kindness.

I can honestly say he was the best boss I ever had. He will be missed.
