Might get them into the book, barely. This is one of the easiest formats to sell against. The stereotype of the type of listener this format attracts is very strong in people's minds, and is a gold mine for the competition on the street. |

Do we know for a fact that 100.5/94.9 is flipping to CHR/Rhythmic? |

Too bad 85% of the potential audience for the format is "out of the market" on Christmas break and not available to hear the stunt...and contribute word-of-mouth. |

Who will take the place of Success in the market, leaving us with only 3 New/Talk stations and 2 sports stations. ?? (!) |

If they're switching to a music format, why is 100.5 still in mono? |

KDPM is now playing CHR/Rhythmic music as "94-9 Jamz". However, the audio quality is horrible! The segues and imaging don't sound professional, either. Who's running this thing? |

FROM ALLACCESS.COM ..A fun twist on cunning stunting in EUGENE, OR on the new 94.9 frequency in advance of the "official" sign-on, as the station is promoting itself as KFED, named for "the great entertainer, hip hop dancer, underestimated singer, family man, and estranged husband of BRITNEY SPEARS, KEVIN FEDERLINE. they are currently playing a variety of Urban hits on the steam (see above) I cannot pick up either signal clearly enough here in my studio by the lake. I would like to see who, or what talent they will attrack if any. Could PK and The Playhouse be on in Eugene? It seems like a natural step, i know that there is a Jammin following here in Eugene as well as Corvallis and surrounding areas. |

KDPM's audio quality is so poor, it sounds like they're feeding the transmitter with an internet stream. Why would anyone do this? |

100.5 KDPM is now in stereo, but their audio files still sound horrible. They won't be attracting much of an audience, until they clean up their music library. |

any word or buzz as to who might be programming the station? I think that it is still owned by Steve Masters and Diamnond Media or something like that. I noticed today there are some new production elements and the sweeps are getting tighter. I think they are using a voice now too. |

I ran into a couple of kids I used to work with this afternoon who are somewhat envolved in the Eugene Hip Hop Community (I was kinda surprised that there was one). Local Artists, rappers, and club DJ's along with a fairly large following are already spreading the word via myspace and the like. If the format is going to carve a place in the market I'd imagine they would have to have some talent of somekind soon as well as some sort of street team. I noticed that KDUK's Michael Kay is among the top "friends" on Jammin 94.9's myspace page. Wonder if he'll be making a jump? Maybe to a night shift? |

Yes, I believe Michael Kay will be joining "94-9 Jamz" KDPM. |

If they were to flip to spanish contemporary I'm sure they'd do better than La X which has a very poor signal after dwan. |

I came across this while checking out the Jammin 94.9 myspace page. Looks like a couple of guys who are truly immersed in the Hip Hop Culture (i say with tongue deeply placed in cheek) I will also agree the audio sounds better and the production continues to evolve. Segues and sweeps are sometime reallly sloppy and loose. You'd think that they'd be hitting the web address in the sweeps to help spread the word but so far I have not heard and while sampling them. http://www.kval.com/news/local/4996141.html?video=YHI&t=a |
